Youth athletes are fundamentally different; developing neurological, skeletal, muscular and endocrine systems are in a constant state of change.
As an educated and prudent trainer, I consider the impact the neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems on all aspects of training and skill acquisition.
I offer training in a private environment where each youth athlete can be comfortable and stay engaged. I am able to give focused feedback and corrections 1-on-1 without the distraction of others.
I take pride as a Certified Youth Fitness Specialist. I have the knowledge to develop and implement the right programming to help young people ages 6 to 16 years old become fit, embrace healthy lifestyles, and maximize sports performance.
Just like you, I am also a mom that wants the best for her children. I want them to learn and adapt to new skills, grow as an athlete, and have fun, but most important, stay healthy and strong.
As a Youth trainer, I know that teaching kids movement skills at a young age increases the likelihood they will be active and athletic for life. A growing body of evidence is now highlighting how movement during the early developmental years of continuous brain growth, play a key role in the development of areas of the brain responsible for memory, information processing, impulse control and behavior.
In the current world of youth inactivity, our role as parents is critical not only for physical development, but cognitive development as well. That is why it is imperative that young children get active and stay active through their developing years.
